CHARITIES EXEMPT from postage increases
Australia Post's price rise expected to take effect on 17 July 2025.
The new costs:
Ordinary small letters: $1.70.
Ordinary large letters (up to 125g): $3.40.
Ordinary large letters (125g-250g): $5.10.
Despite the increase, Australia Post's small letter rate remains below the current median price of $1.93 among OECD postal service operators. (ACC's graph of Basic Postage Rates in OECD Countries for 2025, page 3)
Charities will still be offered discount rates.
